As the name says, the Howling Wolves "SMALL BATCH" range is all about hand making extraordinary wines from only the smallest, rarest batches of super premium Margaret River appellation fruit.

Only superior, low-yield vineyards (producing less than thee tonne per hectare for Cabernet and five tonne for Chardonnay) are nurtured and chosen. Rare earth with a "terroir" destined to bring a unique and special experience to that individual limited vintage. Minimum irrigation is employed, with primarily Mother Nature deciding how much moisture the precious berries will contain.

Each individual "Small Batch" of fruit is then crafted by one of the region's doyen winemakers with an intimate understanding of the fruit and its unique origin and ancestry. As expected, only the finest French oak is used, judiciously, in a mix of new and one-year old barriques for Cabernet and Puncheons for most Chardonnay. The particular oak and cooperage is selected specifically by the winemaker to compliment and enhance the natural characteristics of the fruit and each unique “small batch” vintage.

Each bottle is individually numbered: As a testament, each label bears its Case and Batch Numbers, along with an individually stamped Bottle Number. So, no matter what “Small Batch” you enjoy, you are guaranteed its origin, outstanding fruit and winemaking credentials and rarity.
